Real Bass Tone
Voiced from the captures used on the records, not generic presets. The starting point already sits in a mix.
The final beta: one bass signal split into studio-captured layers and blended back bigger. Finished, free forever.
Downloads always point at the newest build, so there is never a stale link to chase. Free for any use when you pick $0, commercial productions included.

One signal fans out into parallel layers, sub to driven mics and rooms, each owning its slice of the spectrum, then glued back into one instrument.
v0.2.2 closes the beta, with WIDTH backported from Box of Bass as a parting gift. It keeps working forever; it just stops changing.
The beta grew up and became Box of Bass: nine strips, the drive stage opened up, a master EQ, per-strip pads, SIMPLE view and GUITAR MODE. Bass Better-er keeps working forever and the two install side by side; existing sessions keep resolving to Bass Better-er, so nothing you saved ever breaks. New sessions start there.
Download the build for your platform after checkout: macOS .dmg, Windows .exe, or Linux VST3 zip. Run the installer, or drop the VST3 / AU into your plugins folder, then rescan plugins in your DAW and load Bass Better-er on a bass track. The macOS build is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple; the installer includes the PACE-signed AAX for Pro Tools. Windows is unsigned, so SmartScreen may warn: More info, then Run anyway.
You decide. Pick $0 and it is free, for any use, commercial productions included. The paid tiers are the tip jar: same download, and everything you chip in funds the next plugin.

It takes one bass signal and splits it into parallel studio-captured layers (sub, body, dirt and room), then blends them back into one bigger instrument. Since 0.2.0 every drive strip offers two characters, FUZZ and DIST.
